Privacy Policy

How Comrie Development Trust handles personal data across the museum website.

This policy explains what personal data Comrie Development Trust collects through its three websites, why it is used, where it is processed and the rights available to you.

Who we are

Comrie Development Trust is a company limited by guarantee, registered in Scotland (SC305425), and a registered Scottish charity (SC038596). CDT is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Our registered address is Cultybraggan Camp, Comrie, Perthshire, PH6 2AB. You can contact us at admin@comriedevtrust.org.uk.

What we collect

Membership applications

When you apply for CDT membership we collect your name, email address, postal address, phone number (optional), age range, and membership type. We use this to process your application, communicate with you as a member (including AGM notices and member updates), and meet our obligations as a membership organisation. CDT relies on its legitimate interests and, where relevant, steps connected with membership of the company.

Contact form enquiries

When you use our contact form we collect your name, email address, and message. We use this only to respond to your enquiry. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to correspondence. We do not add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent.

Incident reports

If you submit an incident report for Cultybraggan Camp we collect the details needed to investigate and manage health and safety matters. This can include contact details, incident descriptions, injury information, witnesses, and actions taken. We use this for legal obligations and legitimate interests in operating the site safely. The form is sent only when you submit it; this website does not intentionally store an unfinished browser draft.

Website analytics

We use Vercel Analytics to understand aggregate website use, such as page visits, referrers and broad device information. Vercel processes this data as a service provider.

Third parties

We do not sell personal data. Form submissions are stored using Cloudflare R2 and may be sent through CDT's configured notification service so authorised people can respond. Services reached through external links operate under their own privacy information, including:

  • Clark Anderson Properties — manages self-catering bookings at Cultybraggan Camp. When you book via their site you are subject to their privacy policy.
  • AireStop — manages motorhome aire bookings. When you book via AireStop you are subject to their privacy policy.

How long we keep information

  • Membership records are kept while needed to administer membership and meet company, charity and record-keeping obligations.
  • Enquiries are kept while needed to respond, manage follow-up and retain an appropriate correspondence record.
  • Incident reports are kept while needed for health and safety, insurance, legal or safeguarding purposes.
  • Analytics information is retained under the settings and retention terms of the analytics service.

CDT should review these records periodically and delete or anonymise personal data when there is no continuing reason to keep it.

Your rights

Depending on the information and lawful basis, you may have rights to access or correct your personal data, request erasure or restriction, object to processing, or receive portable data.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at admin@comriedevtrust.org.uk. If you are not satisfied with our response you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
