Help us keep this open.

Comrie Museum is volunteer-run and community-owned. Without donations, it closes.

The museum is free to visit because it is supported by donations. Every contribution goes toward maintaining the Nissen huts, developing the stories, and keeping the site open for visitors and school groups. Without it, the buildings deteriorate and the stories stop being told.

What your donation funds

Hut maintenance & weatherproofing

The Nissen huts are 80-year-old metal structures. Keeping them watertight and structurally sound is the single biggest ongoing cost. Without maintenance, they deteriorate quickly and become unsafe to enter.

Artefact conservation

Original documents, photographs, uniforms, and personal effects from the wartime period need careful storage and occasional professional conservation work to survive another 80 years.

Education programme

School visits are a core part of the museum's mission. Donations help fund the materials, preparation time, and resources that make each visit worthwhile for pupils and teachers.

Interpretation & displays

New stories are still being uncovered. Donations allow the museum to develop new exhibit panels, update existing displays, and bring fresh material to returning visitors.

The museum sits at Cultybraggan Camp, owned by Comrie Development Trust on behalf of the village of Comrie. Read about the Trust →
